DJ Leslie serves as an Estimator and Project Manager at Hancock Construction, bringing more than 11 years of construction industry experience and a strong engineering background to every project he supports. A Birmingham native who now resides in Vestavia, DJ earned his degree in Civil Engineering from UAB and began his career as a construction inspector, working on bridge and roadway projects. As a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), DJ combines technical expertise with a collaborative, relationship-focused approach.

DJ lives in Vestavia with his wife, Melissa and two sons, Oliver and Isaac.
He enjoys playing music (multiple instruments) and watching sports (Braves and Titans).
DJ’s passionate about supporting, orphan care as many people close to him have fostered, adopted or been adopted themselves (including his father and nephew).
His formal name is Dennis James, so DJ is technically his nickname. Lots of people call him "Deej" like DJ Tanner from Full House.
